Coronavirus and Travel to the Blue Mountains

What a strange and difficult year 2020 has been!  Coronavirus has had a huge impact on the tourism industry in the Blue Mountains (and globally!).

The hospitality and tourism sectors in the Blue Mountains have been particularly hard hit with the double whammy of the bushfires over the summer, which were followed almost immediately by the Coronavirus. Our restaurants, tourist attractions and other services in the Blue Mountains have really felt the impact.

With the exciting announcement overnight that travel within NSW will be re-opening from 1st June, we're excited to start welcoming guests back to Glen Isla again very soon!

Here are a few important points we'd like to let you know:

  • Guests who had to delay their booking due to COVID-19 restrictions are welcome to select any future date for their replacement booking. Simply get in touch with us by replying to your booking confirmation email and I will block out your requested dates for you if they are available
  • Our cleaning staff have completed extra Coronavirus training and education. Additional measures are being taken to disinfect high-touch areas within the house in between bookings. These measures are in addition to our normal high cleaning standards.
  • Should any future restrictions be imposed which again prevent travel to the region, guests will be able to delay and reschedule their booking to a later date once again.

We hope you'll take the opportunity to take some time out with friends and family now that some of the social distancing requirements have been eased. Be sure to check out our LATEST AVAILABILITY for up to date information on available dates and prices.

The team are all excited to welcome you back to the house very soon!

Best wishes
